I'm originally from Ventura, CA born and raised. I moved to San Luis Obispo in 1988 to attend Cal Poly and never left. I also found the love of my life here...my husband Jay. I love the Central Coast and all the wonderful photo opportunities I find every day. It's a beautiful thing to live where people come to vacation. My family feels blessed.
As a photojournalist for our local newspaper, I photographed everything under the sun. I shot breaking news to sports, moms and kids in the studio, architecture, beautiful gardens, flew in helicopters, went inside a nuclear power plant and a prison, watched wonderful plays and musical events, and once sailed on a "pirate" ship.
I've participated in hundreds of interesting events, met hundreds of wonderful people whose lives and stories -- some heartbreaking -- were amazing. I loved being able to tell their story with my camera. Everyday was something different. All of it exciting, memorable and rewarding.
